Midland, TX – There was a familiar face, or voice, for Midlanders in Sunday’s Pro-Bowl festivities.
Air Force Sergeant, Midland native and Midland High School grad Richard Vasquez
sang the national anthem before the 2012 Pro-Bowl yesterday (Sunday).

Vasquez is a regional band craftsman- vocalist and supply clerk for the United States Air Force band of the pacific-Hawaii.
Originally from Midland, Vasquez entered the air force in 1997 as a missile maintenance technician.
After taking first place as male vocalist in the air force's world-wide talent contest,
 Sergeant Vasquez has since performed around the world and served as choreographer and vocal coach.

  • Congratulations to the Midland High Bulldog Robotics Team!
    Both robots won the Panhandle Plans Qualifying Tournament together as the
    winning alliance.  They also won the Inspire Award and the Think
    Award.  Their accomplishments have earned them a place in the regional
    Championship tournament to be held March 3rd in Lubbock.
